What we do

On the last day of each month we will donate to five trans women and/or transfem individuals within the UK.

From August 2026, all the money in the big collective pot will be emptied out as:

• 100% going to FIVE trans women or transfem people within the UK, randomly chosen from a list people can submit themselves or others to
• with ONE of those FIVE spots ringfenced for a trans woman/transfem of colour

Why we do what we do

FiveforFive exists to make it easier for trans women and transfeminine people based in the UK to access money when they need it, without having to crowdfund, justify their circumstances or find an individual donor.

We build a collective pot of money from small, regular contributions and distribute it directly to people for whatever they need it for: surgery, hormones, bills, everyday essentials, or simply something that makes life a little better. We believe in solidarity, trust, love for our sisters, autonomy, generosity of spirit and dignity.

We believe in the (crudely adapted) mantra of ‘a trans woman must have bread, but she must have roses, too’ - the things we need to survive, and the things that make life worth living.
